This building of eclectic style, desingned by the architect D. Pelayo Lopez, is the seat of the National University of remote Education in the island of La Palma. In the ground floor of this building, facing towards the ÓDaly street, is the exhibition hall of the Town Hall. |
Building of the XVIII century with later modification of the facade in the XIX century due to D. Jose Felipe de Paz Perez. At the moment it belongs to the business firm Juan Cabrera Martín S.A. and also lodges the Delegation in the island of the Transmediterranea Company. |

La Cosmológica. Important cultural society created in 1881 of great root and prestige in all Canary Islands. In their library, file and hemeroteca formed by more than 20,000 volumes of XV and XVI centuries and beyond, important documents keep from our past are kept. Excellent cultural center of the island, also conserves in its interior some nobles shields of old families of the city, whose houses have been disappearing fruit of the modern constructions. |
| Also the stone shields of the old castles and doors of access to the city are exhibited , all of these are rests of an old Archaeological Museum and Natural History created by this society as a result of the positivistas thoughts and Darwinist arrivals to our island in the XIX century. Nowdays it only conserves its character of Library, Archive centuries and Hemeroteca, this last one is strongly recommended to the investigators of XIX and XX archive century, being one of the most important Hemerotecas of the Canary Islands. | |
